Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the design and development of custom rigging equipment and structural systems to meet project needs. You will steer planning, design, and implementation while ensuring safety standards and deliverables are met. You will collaborate with project managers, field experts, and production teams, mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement. You will contribute to safer, more efficient crane and rigging solutions with a tangible impact on project outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Create detailed design packages with fabrication drawings, calculations, specs, and manuals * Perform steel design and structural analysis * Develop and review design parameters for clarity and customer communication * Create 3D models and technical drawings for equipment assemblies * Prepare technical specifications and maintenance requirements * Lead load-case calculations and test plan development * Provide on-site technical assistance during lifting operations * Support field operations and document design changes * Track project timelines and mentor junior engineers * Estimate design, fabrication, and testing costs * Participate in post-project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives Tasks * 5+ years in structural or mechanical equipment design, preferably crane/rigging/heavy lift * Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred * OSHA 10 * Deep knowledge of structural steel design, cranes, rigging, and load calculations * Extensive experience with steel construction and fabrication processes * Proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling (AutoCAD, Inventor) or similar * Familiarity with cranes, rigging equipment, and lifting materials * Knowledge of OSHA, AISC, ASME, ANSI design standards and regulations * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Ability to lead a team and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * Willingness to visit job sites and work in outdoor environments * Drug test, fit for duty, and background check requirements Key requirements * Competitive salary * Bonus program based on performance * 401K with up to 10% match * Medical, dental, vision, and disability benefits * Paid time off * Barnhart CARES family care and community service opportunities
