Job description

Experteer Overview As Senior Emerging & AI Technology Architect, you connect business goals with cutting-edge technologies in AI/ML within the IT and electric energy sector. You will identify and develop opportunities leveraging AI, GenAI, and other emerging tech to optimize grid operations, boost energy efficiency, and enable predictive maintenance. You’ll collaborate with multiple business units to build prototypes and support enterprise deployments, while upholding NYPA’s AI governance, ethics, and compliance framework. You will lead architecture across disciplines, guiding design reviews and accelerating delivery to align with enterprise principals and industry trends. Compensation / Benefits * Drive common standards, best practices, and process improvements across development teams * Analyze and document client/user requirements; lead design/development/testing of solutions * Help develop and maintain Enterprise Architecture & Engineering standards and frameworks * Create conceptual and logical data models for database solutions * Communicate technical solutions to IT, business, and executive audiences * Provide expert input on modeling database solutions for technical designs * Influence technology strategy by aligning customer needs with roadmaps and business outcomes Tasks * Ability to identify and rapidly learn new emerging technologies and methodologies * Excellent verbal and written communication for diverse audiences * Experience planning architecture-related projects including schedules, budgets, and deadlines * Proven ability to produce technical documentation and deliver executive presentations * Knowledge of cloud concepts, data management, cyber security, and IT infrastructure services * Ability to assess technology and security implications in projects * Experience architecting applications across SaaS/IaaS/PaaS and hybrid clouds * Experience leading teams with clear direction, coaching, and feedback Key requirements * competitive compensation * salary range $160,000-$200,000 * equal opportunity employer * diversity and inclusion commitments * reasonable accommodations during hiring
