Experteer Overview In this role, you will lead the Data Governance function within Sanctuary’s Technology group, guiding policies, standards and frameworks to ensure accurate, secure and ethically managed data aligned with strategic objectives. You will manage a small team, drive the Data Strategy, and oversee data quality, metadata and lifecycle practices across the organisation. You will work with risk, compliance and IT security to strengthen governance and assurance, while promoting a data-driven culture. This is a leadership role with a clear impact on how data supports growth and service delivery. Pay / Benefits * Define and execute data governance initiatives within the Data Strategy * Oversee data quality standards, dictionaries and business glossaries * Lead the monthly Data Governance Forum with Data Owners and Stewards * Collaborate with Risk, Compliance and IT Security on governance and assurance * Configure and administer Aperture Data Governance Studio * Develop and deliver a communication plan to promote governance principles * Provide training and guidance on good data governance practices * Manage and develop a high-performing team and align to SFIA career pathways * Articulate and escalate data risks per Risk Matrix Tasks * Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification * DAMA certification (or equivalent) * Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent knowledge * Experience leading organisational change and implementing Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives * Strong knowledge of Data Quality, Metadata, Master Data and Data Lifecycle Management * Proven ability to formulate Data Quality standards and rules * Familiarity with GDPR, DPA and data ethics * Experience with Agile / Scrum / DevOps projects Key requirements * 25 days annual leave (rising to 30) plus public holidays * Pension scheme with employer contributions * Life assurance * Employee support services including counselling * Cycle to Work scheme * Wellbeing support and tools
