Network Security Administrator

The Contractor shall perform network security tasks for various state agencies, specifically focusing on:

• Administrative Daily Responsibilities: Review and execution of Firewall Service Requests (FSRs), break-fix tickets, and formal change requests.
• Infrastructure Modernization: Facilitating the decommissioning and “refresh” of End-of-Life (EOL) hardware on a recurring basis.
• Compliance Maintenance: Implementing security controls and configurations to ensure agencies remain in alignment with IRS, FBI, and CJI compliance standards.
• Hardware Administration: Technical configuration and management of Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.t

The Contractor should show base Knowledge and maintain proficiency in:

• Palo Alto Firewalls: Next-generation firewall features such as, Zones, security policies, S2S VPN, Natting, and basic threat prevention
• Cisco ASA Firewalls: Configuration, troubleshooting, and rule management.
• General Networking: foundational knowledge of routing protocols, subnetting, OSI model ETC..
