Senior Manager, System Modeling & Design Simulation

Experteer Overview As Senior Manager, you will lead the System Modeling & Design Simulation organization to enable data-driven design decisions. You will mentor a 5-10 person team and drive strategies for mathematical modeling and simulation that forecast performance of robotic systems. You will partner across architecture, controls, mechanical and software teams to optimize product concepts and reduce risk. Compensation / Benefits * Define and execute strategy for system modeling, engineering simulation, and design optimization * Develop mathematical models of robotic systems, workflows, and operational processes * Lead creation of simulation tools to evaluate future product architectures * Build capabilities for throughput analysis, capacity planning, system optimization, and performance forecasting * Drive design-space exploration and trade-off analysis for next-generation products * Develop discrete-event, operational, and system-level simulations * Partner with architecture, controls, mechanical, and software teams to optimize design alternatives * Establish quantitative methodologies and predictive models to improve decision-making Tasks * 8+ years in system simulation, modeling, operations research, robotics, controls, or related disciplines * 3+ years of engineering management experience * Experience managing teams of 5-10 engineers * Strong background in mathematical modeling, optimization, simulation, and systems analysis * Experience with design trade studies, capacity planning, or operational simulation * Knowledge of discrete-event simulation, control systems, optimization techniques, statistics, and analytical methods * Experience translating simulation outputs into engineering and business decisions * Excellent communication and leadership skills Key requirements * medical, dental, vision * disability * 401K * PTO * travel opportunities up to 10% * corporate credit card program
