Senior Manager, System Modeling & Design Simulation

Experteer Overview As Senior Manager, you will lead the System Modeling & Design Simulation organization to create predictive models and simulation tools that evaluate future robotic architectures and guide engineering decisions. You will shape the strategy for modeling, simulation, and design optimization, partnering with cross-functional teams to reduce risk and accelerate product development. You drive through-put, capacity planning, and performance forecasting to inform roadmaps and engineering investments. Compensation / Benefits * Define and execute the strategy for system modeling, engineering simulation, and design optimization * Develop mathematical models of robotic systems, workflows, and system behaviors * Lead creation of simulation tools to evaluate future product architectures * Build capabilities for throughput analysis, capacity planning, and performance forecasting * Drive design-space exploration and trade-off analysis for next-generation products * Develop discrete-event, operational, and system-level simulations * Collaborate with architecture, controls, mechanical, and software teams to optimize performance * Establish quantitative methodologies and predictive models to improve decision-making across the organization * Lead and develop a team of 5-10 simulation and modeling engineers * Establish technical standards and modeling best practices * Foster a culture of analytical rigor, innovation, and engineering excellence * Support hiring, mentoring, and career growth of technical staff * Provide simulation-based recommendations that influence product and technology roadmaps * Partner with engineering leadership to assess future investments and architectural decisions * Communicate complex technical findings to executive and cross-functional audiences Tasks * Minimum 8 years of experience in system simulation, modeling, operations research, robotics, controls, or related disciplines * Minimum 3 years of engineering management experience * Experience managing teams of 5-10 engineers * Strong background in mathematical modeling, optimization, simulation, and systems analysis * Experience with design trade studies, performance modeling, capacity planning, or operational simulation * Knowledge of discrete-event simulation, control systems, optimization techniques, statistics, and analytical methods * Experience translating simulation outputs into engineering and business decisions * Excellent communication and leadership skills Key requirements * medical * dental * vision * disability * 401K * PTO
