Job description

Experteer Overview Join Northrop Grumman’s IMS Systems Engineering Team in Warner Robins, GA to develop and sustain automated test stations. You will integrate hardware, build and optimize LabVIEW apps, and define test requirements with cross-functional partners. Expect work on signaling, safety compliance, and fault detection that support production and field service. This role offers hands-on impact on defense systems with daily on-site collaboration and growth toward senior levels. You will help shape reliable test infrastructure for complex hardware in a mission-driven environment. Compensation / Benefits * Integrate custom hardware with test stands ensuring signal integrity and safety compliance * Develop and optimize LabVIEW applications for sequencing, data acquisition, analysis, and reporting * Create and maintain reusable LabVIEW libraries, instrument drivers, and UI components * Collaborate with product engineering, QA, and manufacturing to define test requirements and acceptance criteria * Implement automated test procedures including fault detection, self-diagnostics, and yield analysis * Manage version control for LabVIEW code and hardware design documentation * Conduct root-cause investigations on test failures and recommend improvements * Document test station architecture, wiring diagrams, software flowcharts, and SOPs * Support pilot production and field service teams by troubleshooting test stations and providing training Tasks * LabVIEW development proficiency for automated test equipment * Experience with common test instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, sources, function generators) * Knowledge of GPIB, USB, Ethernet, RS-232/485, CAN * Experience documenting software design (SDS/CSCI/flowcharts) * Familiarity with version control (Git, SVN) and basic software practices * Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a cross-functional team * U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (must be able to obtain/maintain) * B.S in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering; M.S./PhD options per level Key requirements * health insurance * life and disability insurance * savings plan * Company paid holidays * PTO for vacation/personal * bonus opportunities
