Job description
- Provide technical support to the Network Administrators and System Administrators, monitor and maintain the current infrastructure, improve system performance, and automate system administration.
- Provide input to the design of the organizations network and mission architecture.
- Configure and maintain organization’s network diagrams and accreditations.
- Conduct Computer Network Defense Operations, plan and install network upgrades, network design, and perform quality assurance and control.
- Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 requirements and other DoD/IC regulations
- Resolve complex network problems, operate network analyzers, WAN test equipment and network simulators.
- Oversee the support to all network equipment.
- Support the integration of the analytic platform into the CND CDC.
- Lead large efforts and installation projects of dynamic requirements and scale.
- Design modules representing traditional circuit switched networks.
- Ten (10) years’ experience as an NE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Requirements
- Level 0 requires a degree in a relevant technical field (for example, computer science, mathematics, or physics), entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
- Level 1 requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience.
- Level 2 requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.

Level 3 requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
- Candidate must be Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level III baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
