Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will elevate user experience across applications at Ameriprise. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into intuitive UX and measurable outcomes. You will lead design deliverables, contribute to research plans, and present concepts to stakeholders. You drive a user-centered approach from strategy through implementation, shaping experiences for clients and advisors. This position offers impact in a client-focused, collaborative environment with opportunities to mentor others. Compensation / Benefits * Lead UI design during project implementation with wireframes and mock-ups to illustrate user experience * Contribute to project strategy through concepts, research plans, and UX approach * Present design rationales to product teams and stakeholders based on customer research and best practices * Translate requirements into UX/UI documentation including stories and acceptance criteria for Agile * Manage workload and foster knowledge sharing; coach and develop team members * Engage in peer design reviews and provide constructive feedback * Conduct UX research (competitive analyses, heuristic reviews, surveys, usability tests) and report findings Tasks * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent * 5-7 years of relevant experience * Strong knowledge of user-centered design, IA, interaction and visual design * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Prototyping and mockup skills * Proficiency with Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch * Understanding of color theory, typography, branding, and web design standards * Ability to work in both waterfall and Agile environments Key requirements * vacation time * sick time * 401(k) * health insurance * dental insurance * life insurance
