Sr. Data Scientist - Network Strategy

You’ll help build Home Depot’s advanced analytics infrastructure and identify business opportunities where data science provides a competitive edge. You will lead projects, mentor junior data scientists, and present insights to leaders and partners. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to align analytics solutions with business goals and staffing needs. Compensation / Benefits * Solution Development: design and implement algorithms and models on large datasets; communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders; prepare progress reports and articulate impacts to drive alignment * Project Management & Team Support: guide project goals, prioritize work, mentor junior staff, allocate workload and resources, assist in recruiting * Business Collaboration: leverage business knowledge to craft solution approaches, educate partners on advanced analytics, build cross-functional trust * Technical Exploration & Development: stay current with data science developments, codify solutions, document processes, and contribute reusable algorithms Tasks * PhD in a quantitative field preferred * 6+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics * Proficient in Python; SQL (Google BigQuery preferred); data visualization (Tableau) * Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills * Mastery of statistical techniques to derive insights * Proficient in prescriptive modeling (optimization, computer vision, recommendation, search or NLP) * Experience with predictive modeling, data mining, and data analysis * Bachelor’s degree in a related field Key requirements *
