A3 is seeking a talented and experienced ServiceNow Systems Engineer to join our innovative team. If you’d enjoy being responsible for managing the installation, administration, maintenance, backup, and restoration of a custom application built on the ServiceNow Platform for the DoD Enterprise, this role is for you! In this job you will:

  • Create and maintain all system sustainment and maintenance documentation (i.e. System Administration Manual, Configuration Management Plan, Continuity of Operations/Disaster Recovery Plans, Technical Design Documents, and Maintenance Plans).
  • Support all activities related to the installation, administration, maintenance, backup, and recovery of a custom application built on the ServiceNow Platform.
  • Design, develop, and implement strategies for system security, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
  • Support the Configuration Control Board (CCB) requirements and processes (i.e. Prepare deployment support documentation, manage change requests, solicit Product Owner (PO) approval, etc. prior to deployments and/or system patches).
  • Support data export and transfer as needed.
  • Capture and analyze application performance metrics and recommend performance improvement strategies to enhance system uptime, reliability, and stability.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance processes, technical documentation, plans, and reports as needed.
  • Support Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities under the DoD Risk Management Framework (DoDRMF) to maintain the application’s Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Coordinate vulnerability scans, analyze results, and support remediation efforts.
  • Support assessments, security patching, and maintain compliance with all applicable policies, directives, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Task Orders/Operational Orders, Information Operations Conditions, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), and other security controls, guidelines, and requirements.
  • Support periodic self-assessments, scans, and tests to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Support assessments and Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) testing as required.
  • Support security patching and vulnerability remediation activities.
  • Support testing exercises (i.e. User, Regression, Smoke, and IV&V Testing) throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure security enhancements and vulnerability patches do not compromise application functionality and performance.
  • Document software defects, bugs, and other issues identified during test exercises.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified.
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and support to customers; diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues, implement bug fixes, and conduct root cause analyses.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices, and proactively seek opportunities to innovate and evolve our development processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to support, maintain, and administer high performing and scalable solutions to address mission-critical needs for the Insider Threat mission in the DoD.
