Job description
TheCore-studio is an international retail design and project delivery firm. We work on store rollouts and architectural coordination for global brands across Europe and beyond. We’re looking for a Retail Architect & Project Manager with around 5 years of experience in retail or store rollout projects to join our team in Barcelona and lead the delivery of international retail projects.
- Lead project strategy & delivery: Own projects from feasibility and due diligence through design, permitting, and store opening; make key calls on scope, timeline, and risk mitigation
- Manage multidisciplinary teams: Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, and local contractors.
- Client & stakeholder management: Be the single point of contact for international brands; present status, negotiate scope changes, manage expectations across parties.
- Technical & architectural oversight: Review and approve architectural and engineering deliverables; conduct plan checks; ensure quality and coordination across disciplines
- Project controls: Build and own project schedules, budgets, workback plans; track milestones and KPIs; identify and escape risks early
- Documentation & reporting: Maintain project records, lessons learned, and delivery documentation for rollout programs, * Work on international retail projects across EMEA region
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, and project managers
- Contribute to the delivery of innovative spaces for global retail brands
- Develop coordination and project management skills in an international environment
- Support from dedicated team handling coordination and logistics
- Office based in Barcelona with a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- 20% work from home
- Intensive Friday schedule (shorter hours Friday afternoon)

Requirements
- 5 years in retail project delivery, store rollouts, or architectural project management
- Demonstrated ownership of multiple projects simultaneously; with experience leading teams.
- Strong technical foundation: You read drawings, understand construction/engineering sequences, and catch coordination issues.
- Bilingual minimum: English (mandatory) & Spanish; French is a significant plus.
- Client-facing maturity: You communicate clearly with senior stakeholders across cultures
- Proficiency: AutoCAD (2D/3D), Revit, or equivalent; MS Project; Excel
- Proactive problem-solver: You identify risks before they elevate
- On-site construction or site supervision experience is a plus.
