Job description

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-grade Java applications.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful web services and distributed system components.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality solutions.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and support.
  • Design, create, and execute functional, integration, acceptance, and mock-up testing.
  • Analyse complex technical challenges and propose effective end-to-end solutions aligned with business needs.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of the Java ecosystem, software engineering best practices, and the full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Proficiency with Eclipse IDE for development, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
  • Strong experience working with Oracle Database and SQL development.
  • Experience with enterprise messaging, queuing, or event-streaming technologies.
  • Knowledge of Apache Kafka is highly valued.
  • Experience with solutions such as IBM MQ (WebSphere MQ), RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms.
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous communication patterns, message-driven architectures, and distributed systems integration.
  • Proven experience in testing activities, including: Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Acceptance Testing, Mock-up Testing and Ability to independently validate and ensure software quality without dedicated QA support.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Dynamic Application Framework (DAF).
  • Experience in Business Rule Management, including modelling, management, and implementation.
  • Certifications or training in Visual Rules or Actico Rules.
  • Experience integrating solutions with the Actico Platform.
