Lead Engineer, Network Security Platform

Experteer Overview Lead Engineer, Network Security Platform at KPMG drives secure, integrated network architecture within the Digital Nexus technology team. You will shape technology roadmaps, evaluate security architectures, and ensure seamless integration of Zscaler, GCP and Palo Alto across the infrastructure. You’ll mentor the Network team, provide expert guidance, and deliver high-quality security solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role offers impact through scalable security platforms and cross-functional collaboration. Compensation / Benefits * Contribute to technology architecture roadmaps and maintain them; assess current network security architecture and plan improvements * Ensure integration of Zscaler, GCP, and Palo Alto with other infrastructure components * Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends and deliver roadmap-based products on schedule * Provide guidance on plans, procedures, and ensure adherence to product development, performance and budget targets * Offer last-tier support for operations, including root cause and preventative analysis; define and enforce system standards * Design network environments and oversee system installation; document standards * Provide training and guidance to Network team members * Engage in resource planning and support a customer-service oriented, high-performance team environment Tasks * Minimum five years of experience with web proxy products (Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma) and cloud environments (Azure, GCP) * Deep expertise with Palo Alto firewalls (physical Strata, VM-Series), Panorama, and Prisma Access/ZIA/ZPA * Hands-on GCP engineering experience (VPC design, Cloud Armor) and integration of security appliances in cloud-native setups * Strong background in network automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) * Excellent communication, prioritization, delegation, and leadership abilities; capable of working on multiple projects * Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future * Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED accepted Key requirements * medical and dental plans * vision coverage * disability and life insurance * 401(k) plans * personal well-being benefits * paid time off and holidays
