Lead Engineer, Network Security Platform

Experteer Overview lead engineer role focused on shaping and delivering the Network Security Platform within KPMG’s Digital Nexus team. you will refine technology roadmaps, assess current security architectures, and ensure integration of Zscaler, GCP, and Palo Alto into the broader infrastructure. you’ll stay ahead of security and cloud trends, guide product development, and provide expert guidance and last-tier support to operations. this is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a strong impact on enterprise security and scalable tech delivery. Compensation / Benefits * Assist in developing and maintaining technology architecture roadmaps; assess current network security architecture and plan improvements aligned with best practices; ensure integration of Zscaler, GCP, and Palo Alto with the broader infrastructure * Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of industry directions; deliver roadmaped technology and products on schedule and with high quality * Provide guidance to carry out plans; ensure product development process adherence, performance and budget targets; offer last-tier support including root cause and preventative analyses * Establish network environments by designing system configurations and enforcing system standards; direct system installation * Offer last-tier operations training and guidance to the Network team * Act with integrity and professionalism to uphold a respectful, collaborative work environment Tasks * Five+ years in Web proxy products (Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma) and cloud environments (Azure, GCP) with deep Palo Alto firewall expertise (Strata, VM-Series), Panorama, Prisma Access * Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required * Hands-on GCP engineering experience (VPC design, Cloud Armor) and experience with Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA) * Strong background in network automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) * Excellent verbal/written communication; ability to lead, prioritize, delegate and develop high-performance teams; strong troubleshooting and multi-project management * Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future Key requirements * comprehensive benefits package * medical and dental plans * vision coverage * disability and life insurance * 401(k) plans * well-being benefits
