User Experience Designer

We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to join a shopping product team focused on designing innovative conversational shopping experiences. In this role, you will help shape how customers discover, evaluate, and purchase products through AI-powered, chat-based interactions. You’ll work within an established design system to create intuitive end-to-end experiences that seamlessly integrate with the broader shopping ecosystem.

This role is ideal for a designer with a strong retail/e-commerce background who excels at systems thinking, service design, and crafting user-centered conversational experiences.

Work to Be Accomplished

• Design end-to-end conversational shopping experiences that enable customers to discover, compare, and purchase products through AI-driven interactions.
• Create user flows, interaction models, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and clickable prototypes using an existing design system in Figma.
• Design both successful (“happy path”) and failure (“unhappy path”) customer journeys to ensure resilient, intuitive shopping experiences.
• Develop journey maps, service blueprints, and experience concepts that illustrate the complete customer journey across conversational touchpoints.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX researchers, engineers, content designers, and cross-functional design teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience.
• Ensure conversational shopping experiences align with broader product strategy, design standards, and customer experience principles.
• Translate business objectives and customer insights into scalable interaction patterns for AI-powered shopping.
• Iterate on concepts based on stakeholder feedback, usability findings, and evolving product requirements., * Design conversational interfaces for retail and shopping experiences.
• Produce interaction flows, customer journey maps, service blueprints, and prototypes.
• Apply systems thinking to connect conversational experiences across the entire shopping journey.
• Leverage an existing design kit to rapidly build scalable, consistent experiences.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align designs with product vision and technical feasibility.
• Explore future-state concepts while delivering practical, production-ready solutions.

• 5+ years of UX/Product Design experience, preferably within retail, e-commerce, or shopping platforms.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end customer journey design and complex interaction design.
• Experience designing conversational, AI-assisted, or chat-based user experiences.
• Deep understanding of retail customer behavior and shopping decision-making.
• Expertise in Figma, including component libraries, prototyping, and design systems.
• Experience creating:
• User flows
• Customer journey maps
• Service blueprints
• Wireframes and high-fidelity mockups
• Interactive prototypes
• Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to design across interconnected experiences.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional product teams., * Experience designing AI-assisted or generative AI product experiences.
• Background in conversational UX, virtual assistants, or intelligent product discovery.
• Experience working within mature enterprise design systems.
• Familiarity with strategic design, future-state visioning, and service design methodologies.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $60.00 to $65.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
