Experteer Overview As a Staff Software Engineer at GitHub, you will architect and deliver high-performance systems that enable collaboration for millions of developers. You’ll steer technical execution from design to production, leading initiatives across distributed teams and multiple product areas. This role offers the chance to shape core infrastructure for CI/CD, AI platforms, and scalable services at a world-scale. You will partner with cross-functional peers to drive secure, reliable software that developers love. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, test and ship scalable technical solutions across GitHub services * Provide technical leadership, mentorship, pairing, and code reviews * Own system health, reliability and participate in on-call rotations * Design and implement APIs for component integration * Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on technical solutions and cost considerations * Develop comprehensive testing strategies and define success metrics with customer feedback * Champion security by isolating untrusted code and partnering with Security teams * Improve operational excellence through reliability, monitoring, alerts, and runbooks * Drive and align the technical roadmap with product goals Tasks * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field * 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python * Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements (Microsoft Cloud Background Check) Key requirements *
