Job description

Experteer Overview In this role, you lead secure network engineering in a highly classified environment to support a critical national security mission. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and sustain secure infrastructure and address complex networking challenges. This position offers hands-on work with cutting-edge Cisco security platforms in Arlington, VA, delivering resilient, compliant network solutions. You will directly impact mission-critical operations through expert threat mitigation and robust connectivity. Compensation / Benefits * Lead secure network engineering and operations in a classified setting * Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco ISE for authentication, authorization, accounting, and network access control * Administer Cisco Firepower and FMC including policy management and troubleshooting * Design and maintain secure network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, ACLs, VPNs, segmentation) * Troubleshoot Layer 2/3, firewall, authentication, and access control issues * Support AAA, 802.1X, VPN, RMF, STIG compliance and secure configurations * Develop and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation * Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems administration, and mission teams to deliver secure infrastructure * Support incident response, outage resolution, root cause analysis, and remediation * Identify and recommend improvements to enhance performance, security, and reliability Tasks * U.S. citizenship * Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility * Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, or equivalent experience * 8+ years of enterprise/defense network engineering experience * Strong experience with Cisco ISE and Cisco Firepower/FMC * Experience supporting AAA, 802.1X, VPN, RMF, and STIG requirements * Active DoD 8140/8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, SSCP) or equivalent * Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, routing, switching, VLANs, ACLs, subnetting, and segmentation * Experience troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and enterprise networks * Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems * Strong written and verbal communication skills Key requirements * comprehensive benefits program * healthcare benefits * paid leave * retirement plans * insurance programs * education and training assistance
