Job description
Experteer Overview In this role, you will develop, maintain, and support large-scale ETL and distributed Big Data applications. You will collaborate with platform architects to ensure solution integrity and work across production to resolve issues and outages. You’ll drive Change Management hygiene and help projects meet Production Readiness standards. You will partner with stakeholders to navigate Schwab Technology Services standards, shaping scalable data platforms and resilient systems. This is a problem-solving, impact-focused opportunity to help transform finance technology at Schwab. Compensation / Benefits * Develop, maintain, and support large-scale ETL and distributed Big Data applications * Collaborate with platform architects to ensure technical integrity and consistency of solutions * Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with cross-team coordination * Communicate outages clearly and promptly to affected parties * Maintain Change Management hygiene for production changes and steady-state transitions * Assist development teams to ensure new systems meet Production Readiness standards * Educate business stakeholders on Schwab Technology Services standards for new projects or enhancements * Navigate and support Incident and Change Management with end-to-end system knowledge * Update knowledge repository for support activities and issues * Service requests for data or access to Production systems Tasks * Bachelor’s degree with 60 months of post-bachelors experience in related field * Experience with IICS; Oracle, Teradata, DB2, MS SQL, Hive; Autosys and Control M; Shell Scripting; Toad, Nexus Query Chameleon, Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, GitHub, Splunk, Putty; Talend * Cloud Data Platforms including Google Big Query, GCS bucket and Data Proc, or Snowflake * Python scripting Key requirements * 401(k) w/ company match * employee stock purchase plan * paid vacation * volunteering * 28-day sabbatical after every 5 years of service for eligible positions * paid parental leave and family building benefits (where applicable)
