Lead Engineer, Network Security Platform

Experteer Overview In this Lead Engineer role, you will shape and govern the security platform roadmap and ensure secure, scalable network infrastructure. You’ll work within the Digital Nexus team to align security technology with the broader IT ecosystem and standards. You’ll apply expert guidance to drive high-quality delivery and provide last-tier support to operations. This is an opportunity to influence security architecture at a global professional services firm and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver impact. Compensation / Benefits * Contribute to and maintain technology architecture roadmaps; assess network security architecture and propose improvements * Guide product development and ensure alignment with standards, integrating technologies like Zscaler, GCP, and Palo Alto into the infrastructure * Keep up with industry trends to deliver roadmap items on schedule and with high quality * Provide direction for plans and procedures, ensure adherence to development processes, and support operations with root-cause and preventative analysis * Design and document system standards; set up network environments and manage system installations * Offer last-tier support and training to Network team members; enable high-performance, customer-service-driven teams * Uphold integrity and a respectful work environment while managing multiple projects and stakeholder expectations * Assist with resource planning and contribute to organizational initiatives and budgets Tasks * 5+ years of experience with Web proxy products (ZScaler, Palo Alto Prisma) and cloud environments (Azure, GCP) * Deep expertise with Palo Alto firewalls (Strata, VM-Series), Panorama, and Prisma Access/SaaS security * Hands-on Google Cloud Platform engineering experience focusing on VPC design, Cloud Armor, and integrating security appliances in cloud-native setups * Proficiency in network automation and IaC (Terraform, Ansible) for firewall and proxy deployments * Strong communication skills and ability to guide teams and interact with stakeholders; capability to manage multiple projects and plan resources * Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future Key requirements * comprehensive benefits package * medical and dental plans * vision coverage * disability and life insurance * 401(k) plans * well-being benefits
