Job description
Experteer Overview As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will architect and drive AI-enabled security automation for Cisco’s public cloud estate. You will lead a focused workstream, mentoring 2-3 engineers while delivering scalable misconfiguration detection and remediation. You’ll shape the engineering roadmap, build reusable tooling, and partner with security, IT, and cloud teams to advance secure cloud practices. This role offers impact across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. Compensation / Benefits * Architect and implement AI-driven automation to detect and remediate cloud security misconfigurations at scale * Lead end-to-end technical execution of a workstream and guide 2-3 engineers to milestones * Define and drive the engineering roadmap including SDLC, CI/CD, observability, and AI-assisted development * Build reusable, well-documented internal tooling and services for multiple cloud platforms * Scope work, communicate trade-offs, and align cross-functional partners on direction * Mentor peers and raise software quality through reviews and knowledge sharing Tasks * Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of engineering experience * Proficiency in Python development and building backend services/APIs with data modeling and relational/NoSQL stores * Experience integrating AI/LLM-based agentic workflows into production on platforms like AWS Bedrock AgentCore, Azure AI Foundry, or Google Vertex AI * Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) including SDKs/APIs and cloud-native architectures * Experience with CI/CD pipelines * Experience with cloud-native event-driven architectures and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or equivalent) Key requirements * medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) with Cisco matching * paid parental leave * sick leave and vacation time * paid holidays and floating holiday * volunteer days
