Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead end-to-end projects for the Structured Store team, staying hands-on while coordinating across product, SRE, security, and engineering partners. You will design versioned APIs and service capabilities for graph and key-value storage, and work on scalable, production-ready data storage across on-prem and cloud environments. You’ll apply Go and related technologies to solve complex problems, influence the roadmap, and mentor peers to improve development and operational practices. This position offers impact through high-visibility, cross-functional initiatives that shape how structured storage is built and operated at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Lead medium-sized features and end-to-end projects from scoping to production validation * Design versioned APIs and service capabilities for graph, key-value, and related storage services * Write and review in Go and adjacent technologies, address complex errors, and contribute to threat modeling * Coordinate estimates, specs, milestones, dependencies, and remediation plans across multiple partners * Guide design tradeoffs using adoption, reliability, scalability, security, and cost signals * Act as escalation point for production issues and drive postmortems and durable corrective actions * Mentor engineers through reviews, documentation, and guidance Tasks * Bachelor’s degree or higher with 7+ years experience OR Master’s with 4+ years OR PhD with 1+ year * Experience leading end-to-end software projects across engineering teams * Production backend services and versioned APIs experience in Go, C++, or similar * Designing/operating production database-backed services (graph, relational, NoSQL) with lifecycle operations * Distributed systems design including consistency, replication, routing, failure recovery * CI/CD and containerized services on Kubernetes in cloud or on-prem * Production escalation experience and leading root-cause analyses * Mentoring engineers through reviews and guidance Key requirements * medical, dental and vision insurance * 401(k) with matching * paid parental leave * paid time off and holidays * sick time and PTO policy * restricted stock units
