Systems Support Engineer

You will be responsible for supporting the smooth and effective operation of the company’s IT systems. The role will predominantly focus on providing day-to-day IT support, ensuring that internal systems are maintained and that colleagues across the business can use them with ease., * Performing IT admin tasks on clients, servers and infrastructure

• Commission new users, including their computers and getting them set up
• Troubleshooting issues with end users and infrastructure components
• Participate in the research and development of new systems
• Generate documentation for existing and new systems across the company
• Provide support for end users across the business
• Assess issues and proactively suggest and implement corrections
• Recommend purchases available to enhance the IT department and business
• Develop and implement solutions, using C# and .NET
• Produce reports from SQL

• Knowledge of MS systems such as Office, 365, Active Directory and Windows (10/11)
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal

Desirable

• IT Support - Software/Windows installation and troubleshooting
• Network Management - cabling, firewalls, VLANS and routing and wireless
• Server Management - VMWare, Windows and virtualisation
• Programming - ideally C#, .NET and ASP WebForms/WinForms
• Database - SQL server, data interrogation and reporting
• Job Management - ticketing systems
