The location of this position will be in the following county: Kanawha.Requirements for this position include but are not limited to: A valid driver’s license OR State issued ID and dependable transportation are required.IF APPLICABLE: Travel to various State Agencies to perform work and maintain accurate mileage records.Regular attendance is an essential part of this position.Job Duties: Provide advanced LAN/WAN design.Provide installation and troubleshooting techniques to state agencies in areas of network voice, video, and data convergence.Document changes or additions to all network designs and schematics.Troubleshoot computer systems and connectivity issues.Configure and install routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other related equipment.Implement various statewide network projects involving connectivity to various state, federal, or other external entities.Operate diagnostic and/or monitoring tools to identify and provide problem resolution for critical statewide connectivity.Provides assistance and coordination of level two support.Performs other duties as assigned.* As a condition of employment, an inquiry into job-related information will be completed which may include, but not limited to, criminal records, abuse registry records, driving records, employment history, and education and training.
