Cyber Data Protection/PKI Manager

Experteer Overview In this role you will serve as a trusted advisor on data protection and encryption strategies, spanning cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. You will design and operate data security solutions, lead engagement delivery and timelines, and stay ahead of emerging encryption technologies to strengthen client security. You will work with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to drive secure, compliant outcomes that align with client objectives and Deloitte’s cyber strategy mission. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as subject matter expert on data protection and encryption requirements for clients * Advise on encryption, decryption, secure key management, and PKI strategies across environments * Design, implement, and operate data protection solutions including certificate lifecycle management and infrastructure monitoring * Drive day-to-day engagement execution, communicating updates to clients and leadership, and tracking delivery timelines * Stay current on emerging encryption technologies and evaluate/recommend tools to strengthen data security Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 7+ years of experience in data protection and information security * 7+ years with PKI concepts and advanced PKI architecture knowledge * 5+ years leading certificate lifecycle management (CLM) strategy and implementation using platforms such as AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert * Advanced knowledge of cryptography, certificate lifecycle processes, key management, HSM integration, and crypto policy enforcement * Hands-on experience with certificate automation across load balancers, WAFs, API gateways, Kubernetes, cloud, and web/app servers * Experience leading discovery, inventory rationalization, remediation, renewal automation, and compliance monitoring programs * Strong client leadership, executive stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation * Ability to lead technical workstreams and manage onshore/offshore teams * Ability to translate business and security requirements into architecture and implementation plans * Comfort with executive-level reporting and steering committee discussions * willingness to travel 25-50% Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * professional development opportunities * inclusive culture * flexible and supportive environment * opportunity to work on high-impact cyber strategy initiatives * global consulting experience
