AI Engineer, Manager - Tax Transformation

Experteer Overview In this role, you will lead the design, development, deployment, and support of AI applications for the tax domain. You’ll manage a team of engineers, drive project execution, and maintain stakeholder communications to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with Deloitte’s tax services objectives. You will build robust Python applications, optimize performance, and mentor junior developers. This position blends technical leadership with client-facing coordination in a hybrid work setting, offering impact through scalable AI-enabled tax tools. Compensation / Benefits * Define and enforce coding standards across projects * Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality * Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications (FastAPI) * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions * Communicate with clients and manage day-to-day operations * Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers * Create comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and workflows * Lead project execution and stakeholder communications * Ensure reliability and performance of applications Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field * 5+ years of Python application development * Hands-on experience with FastAPI and Pydantic * Proficiency in asynchronous programming with asyncio * Experience in Agile environments and design patterns * Proficiency with .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, and SQL/NoSQL databases * Ability to travel up to 10% * Active accreditations such as CPA, Enrolled Agent, Attorney, or relevant technology certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, CISSP, SAFe, CSSLP) to be eligible * Experience with LLMs, LangGraph, multi-modal Gen AI, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and Azure DevOps (Build/Release) * Front-end familiarity with Angular, MongoDB, NPM Key requirements *
