Cyber Data Protection/PKI Specialist Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this Senior Consultant role, you will help clients strengthen data protection and PKI frameworks, guiding encryption strategy and secure key management across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. You will lead delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, and stay ahead of encryption tech trends to reduce data risk. This position offers meaningful impact by shaping client cyber posture and governance. You’ll work with diverse teams to implement scalable, compliant data security solutions. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as SME and trusted advisor on data protection, encryption, and key management * Design, implement and operate encryption strategies across environments; manage PKI deployment and lifecycle * Lead client engagements: drive execution, communicate updates, and ensure high-quality deliverables * Track timelines and budgets; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery * Stay current on emerging encryption technologies and industry trends; evaluate new tools and solutions * Support cross-functional teams and maintain strong client relationships to enable project success Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a related field * 5+ years in data protection and information security * 5+ years with PKI concepts (certificates, CAs, RA, CSR, OCSP, CRL, HSM) * 2+ years implementing encryption technologies and CLM; cloud encryption concepts (BYOK, client/server-side) * 2+ years developing data protection strategies and roadmaps * 2+ years hands-on experience with data protection technologies and CLM platforms (e.g., AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert) * 2+ years with cryptographic standards (TLS/SSL, SSH, S/MIME, code signing; NIST) * 2+ years certificate discovery, inventory, automation, renewal, compliance monitoring * 2+ years integration points across F5, load balancers, WAFs, Kubernetes, API gateways, cloud platforms * 2+ years client-facing skills: requirements gathering, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, executive communication * 2+ years leading small teams/workstreams; producing client-ready deliverables * Ability to travel 25-50% Key requirements * broad range of benefits
