AI Engineer, Manager - Tax Transformation

Experteer Overview In this role you design, build, and scale AI-driven tax tech solutions, leading a team of engineers to deliver high-quality AI applications aligned with client and firm objectives. You coordinate across cross-functional teams and with clients to drive impactful, reliable software delivery. You will shape engineering practices, mentor juniors, and ensure robust performance and documentation. Compensation / Benefits * Define and enforce coding standards and best practices across projects * Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to guidelines * Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications * Optimize performance and data handling for scalable solutions * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software * Identify and resolve technical issues ensuring reliability * Create comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and workflows * Provide mentorship to junior developers and foster collaboration * Communicate with clients and manage day-to-day operations * Lead project execution and stakeholder communications * Guide the team in both independent and collaborative work * Proactively design and implement robust architectures for tax tech tools Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field * 5+ years of Python application development experience * Hands-on FastAPI experience with Pydantic for data validation * Proficiency in asynchronous/parallel programming (asyncio) * Experience in Agile environments and design patterns * Proficiency in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, and SQL/NoSQL databases * Willingness to travel up to 10% * Active accreditations such as CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, or relevant technology certs (AWS, CRISC, CISSP, SAFe, CSSLP) * Experience with LLMs, LangGraph, RAG pipelines, multi-modal Gen AI models, and prompt engineering * Familiarity with Angular, MongoDB, NPM, and Azure DevOps Build/Release * Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills * Self-starter with ability to balance standardized processes with project goals Key requirements *
