Job description

Experteer Overview As Staff Product Manager for gmUI1 Experience Platform, you own the experience strategy for a pivotal in-vehicle UI across multiple programs. You lead cross-functional collaboration to align a unified roadmap with GM’s goals, balancing customer value and technical feasibility. You’ll translate feedback and research into iterative product updates, shaping a scalable UI platform that touches millions of customers. This role combines hands-on leadership with cross-team influence in a high-visibility, hardware-software environment. Compensation / Benefits * Synthesize visions into an overarching gmUI1 experience roadmap for all display configurations and vehicle programs * Own the gmUI1 product line (UI1.x) as the primary DRI, aligning priorities across launches and upgrades * Lead cross-product prioritization and manage the UI1 backlog with trade-offs between resources and scope * Ensure prioritized solutions deliver customer value while meeting GM’s business goals and regulatory constraints * Collaborate with System UI Product Manager and HMI design to integrate hero use cases into the gmUI1 framework * Maintain a scorecard on gmUI performance aligned with KPIs and reporting cadence across teams * Coordinate demos/reviews, translate feedback into targeted iterations for continuous improvement * Serve as the single-threaded owner for gmUI1, aligning design, engineering, privacy, legal, safety and marketing as needed * Travel up to 10% as required Tasks * 7+ years in technology-powered product roles (automotive, apps, platforms, or enterprise software) * In-vehicle product experience is mandatory * Experience planning and launching vehicle software products end-to-end * Proficiency in modern product discovery and delivery methods (hypothesis-driven development, dual-track) * Ability to define success metrics, analyze outcomes, and adjust based on data and feedback * Proven cross-functional leadership, collaboration with engineering, design, PM, and other partners * Ability to learn multiple functional areas quickly and factor business constraints into decisions * Strong communication skills for concise leadership narratives Key requirements *
