Job description

Experteer Overview As a Databricks Forward Deployed Engineer, you rapidly prototype and deliver GenAI-enabled solutions for clients, working with senior client teams to drive measurable business impact. You’ll embed with clients to translate business needs into AI-driven outcomes and collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to shape delivery. The role blends hands-on engineering with stakeholder engagement, aiming to accelerate digital ventures and improve performance. You’ll contribute reusable assets and mentor peers, while balancing quality, cost, and risk in enterprise AI programs. Compensation / Benefits * Embed with clients to identify business needs and translate GenAI use cases into solutions * Partner with leaders, product owners, architects, and engineers to align priorities and delivery * Lead sessions to shape solutions and drive client outcomes * Prototype and deliver working AI solutions and establish reusable assets * Build AI-enabled solutions and workflows across enterprise AI platforms * Develop scalable engineering patterns and human-in-the-loop controls * Apply architecture decisions balancing quality, safety, latency, cost, and model risk * Deliver production-quality code with CI/CD, testing, logging, and documentation * Design extensible functionality and align solutions with senior team members * Mentor newer team members and contribute to code, prompt libraries, and runbooks Tasks * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS, data science, engineering, or related field * Active US government security clearance (minimum Secret) * 4+ years of software/data/analytics engineering experience * 2+ years building and deploying GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in production * 2+ years of Databricks experience with data engineering, data science, and analytics features * 2+ years leading project workstreams and translating problems into AI solutions * 2+ years delivering maintainable code with CI/CD and DevOps in Databricks * Willingness to travel ~50% * Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship Key requirements * broad range of benefits
