Experteer Overview As a Databricks Forward Deployed Engineer, you will rapidly prototype and deliver GenAI-enabled solutions for clients, shaping high-impact outcomes with senior technical and business stakeholders. You’ll embed with client teams, translate needs into AI-enabled architectures, and mentor other engineers while delivering production-quality code and reusable assets. The role blends hands-on engineering with strategic advisory, focusing on scalable data and AI platforms within government and public sector contexts. You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that prioritizes measurable business impact from day one. Compensation / Benefits * Embed with clients to identify business needs and translate GenAI use cases into solutions * Partner with leaders, product owners, architects, and engineers to align priorities and delivery * Lead working sessions to shape solutions and drive client outcomes * Prototype and deliver working AI solutions using industry expertise and emerging capabilities * Contribute independently within an FDE pod while mentoring newer team members * Build AI-enabled solutions, platforms, and workflows across enterprise AI platforms * Develop scalable engineering patterns, tool-use approaches, and human-in-the-loop controls * Apply architecture decisions balancing quality, safety, latency, cost, and model risk * Deliver production-quality code with strong CI/CD, testing, logging, and documentation * Design extensible functionality, support sprint sizing, and align solutions with senior team members * Contribute reusable assets including code, prompt libraries, runbooks, and reference implementations Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field * Active US government security clearance (Secret) * 4+ years in software, data, or analytics engineering * 2+ years building and deploying GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments * 2+ years of Databricks experience with data engineering/data science/analytics features (Lakeflow Connect, Agent Bricks, Databricks Apps) * 2+ years leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions * 2+ years building maintainable, well-documented code and CI/CD in Databricks * Ability to travel ~50% * Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Key requirements *
