Experteer Overview In this role you will contribute to Varda’s ground segment software that enables spacecraft operations. You’ll work with flight software, avionics, and mission operations to provide reliable telemetry, control interfaces, and automation tools. Your work strengthens the mission platform, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment across lab, test ranges, and on-orbit operations. This is a chance to shape critical spaceflight software within a safety-focused, cross-disciplinary team with real-world impact. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and maintain high-reliability telemetry ingestion, scaling, distribution, and commanding services with deterministic real-time behavior * Create operator-grade UIs and dashboards to optimize operations and reduce cognitive load * Build tools for flight-software simulations, device emulators, and automated tests for avionics and operations teams * Design, implement, and productionize software for the mission and ground software teams, including CI/CD, artifact management, and infrastructure-as-code * Create robust deployment patterns across lab benches, test stands, and mission networks with safe rollout/rollback and air-gapped deployment approaches Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering or equivalent technical experience in safety critical software * 5+ years of experience in development of spacecraft or similar safety-critical software * Proficiency with Python and strong systems fundamentals (concurrency, networking, performance, reliability) * Experience building real-time data acquisition, scaling, and distribution services with low-latency messaging and time-series stores * Hands-on experience with CI/CD, dependency/build systems, and infrastructure-as-code * End-to-end observability (logging, metrics, tracing) * Experience with Docker/Kubernetes; release management and operational readiness for controlled networks Key requirements * 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents * Flexible PTO policy + 12 paid holidays * Parental leave with additional disability leave options * Stock options under equity plan * 401(k) with 6% employer match * Relocation assistance
