Job description

Experteer Overview As a Palo Alto SecOps Senior Consultant, you help clients strengthen cyber resilience by designing and deploying Next-Generation SOC platforms (e.g., Cortex XSIAM) and automating detection and response. You will integrate logs, optimize workflows, and advise on threat detection use cases while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tangible security outcomes. This role offers hands-on impact in a leading security practice within Deloitte’s Cyber Defense & Resilience offering. Compensation / Benefits * Lead design and deployment of Next-Generation SOC platforms (Cortex XSIAM), advanced detection rules, SIEM ingestion, and SOAR playbooks * Integrate log and telemetry sources for data quality and operational visibility * Develop and optimize automated response workflows for containment and remediation * Advise clients on threat detection use cases, automation strategies, and SOC platform capabilities * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance solutions, incorporate threat intelligence, and present findings to stakeholders Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a technical field * 4+ years of security experience in cloud, network, or identity security * 3+ years with SOC tools/platforms including Cortex XSIAM, Cortex XDR, Splunk, or similar SIEM * 3+ years in SOC-related detection engineering, automation, playbooks, data ingestion and normalization * 3+ years with EDR platforms (e.g., Microsoft Defender, Cortex XDR, CrowdStrike) and governance/compliance work using established frameworks * Ability to travel ~50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities
