Lead Software Engineer

Experteer Overview As Lead Software Engineer, you will design and enhance cloud-native platform capabilities to support enterprise apps on Kubernetes. You will partner with developers, platform engineers, security teams, and architects to reduce delivery friction and standardize containerized environments. You’ll build scalable Kubernetes-based solutions, automation, and secure CI/CD pipelines, driving platform modernization and reliability. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, and support container-based platform solutions to boost developer productivity and software delivery * Maintain Kubernetes platform capabilities, reusable deployment patterns, and automation tooling * Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for secure, scalable deployments * Create and maintain Helm charts, deployment templates, and platform automation tools * Partner with application teams to improve onboarding, self-service capabilities, and adoption of containerized solutions * Implement security best practices and compliance controls across containerized environments * Support platform reliability, performance optimization, and operational excellence initiatives * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive platform modernization and engineering standards * Troubleshoot complex issues in containerized environments and implement long-term solutions * Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to continuous platform innovation Tasks * 5+ years of enterprise Java development * Advanced Bash scripting, Linux internals, Containers/OCI (Podman), CI/CD pipeline engineering, Python * Knowledge of various Linux flavors (RHEL/ Rocky/ CentOS/ Ubuntu), Packer * Hands-on Kubernetes experience (AKS) * Strong Helm experience for packaging and deployment * CI/CD design and implementation * Understanding of containerization and modern software delivery * DevOps methodologies and infrastructure automation * Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills * Commitment to learning in a fast-paced environment Key requirements * Medical/Dental/Vision coverage * 401(k) plan * Paid Time Off and Holidays * Paid Parental Leave * Tuition reimbursement * Adoption Reimbursement
