Cisco Network Security Engineer/ Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview As a Senior Consultant on Deloitte’s Cyber team, you design, deploy, and optimize Cisco security solutions to protect enterprise environments. You’ll work across physical, virtual, and cloud deployments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align security architecture with client goals. The role emphasizes shaping secure, scalable networks and driving transformation for clients navigating evolving threat landscapes. This is a hands-on, advisory position with impact across architecture, implementation, and strategy. Compensation / Benefits * Design, deploy, and manage Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Firepower Management Center (FMC) across enterprise environments (physical, virtual, cloud) * Implement and support Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) capabilities including 802.1X NAC, device profiling, guest lifecycle, and TrustSec segmentation * Configure and tune advanced Cisco security features (IPS, malware protection, URL filtering, DNS-based security, SSL/TLS decryption) * Deploy and integrate Cisco Secure Firewall solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) with centralized policy management * Develop client-facing security architectures, integrate Cisco platforms with SIEM and automation tools, and provide recommendations aligned with requirements and business objectives * Lead projects or workstreams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * Provide clear guidance to teammates and clients on technical directions Tasks * BA/BS degree in a technical field * CCNP Security or CCIE Security certification * 5+ years of experience in network security engineering with Cisco technologies * 5+ years designing, deploying, and managing Cisco FTD/FMC in enterprise environments (including cloud-delivered FMC) * 5+ years designing and implementing Cisco ISE (including HA configurations, patch management, upgrade planning) * 3+ years with Cisco ISE 802.1X NAC, guest lifecycle, profiling, TrustSec, and Cisco security features in AWS/Azure/GCP * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * reasonable accommodations
