Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role, you help clients design and optimize Microsoft Purview capabilities to strengthen data governance, information protection, and regulatory compliance. You work on large-scale transformation projects across assessment, design, and implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable risk reductions. You will guide clients on governance strategy, lifecycle management, and operating models to improve security posture. This is a client-facing, impact-driven opportunity within Deloitte’s Cyber team, focused on enabling compliant, secure data practices at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and propose Purview-based solutions (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection). * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance across enterprise environments. * Perform health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments, including audit and policy configuration reviews. * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security/compliance tools. * Advise on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating-model improvements to reduce risk and strengthen security. Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, problem-solving, solution architecture or design for Microsoft Purview or data governance technologies. * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting). * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments, including integrations. * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Ability to travel up to ~50%. * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
