Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you help clients design and implement Microsoft Purview capabilities to advance data governance, information protection, and regulatory compliance. You will work on large-scale transformation projects across assessment, design, implementation, and ongoing optimization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture. You’ll address governance, classification, labeling, retention, and investigation needs within enterprise environments. This is an opportunity to shape data governance programs and drive measurable risk reduction in a client-facing setting. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and develop Purview-based recommendations * Design and implement Purview solutions supporting data classification, labeling, retention, governance requirements * Perform health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy reviews) * Support PoC, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security/ compliance tech * Advise clients on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, and operating model improvements to strengthen security and reduce risk Tasks * 4+ years of experience in technical consulting, problem-solving, solution architecture, or design for Microsoft Purview or data governance technologies * 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years of experience designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments, including integrations * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
