Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you help clients strengthen data governance, compliance, and information protection by deploying Microsoft Purview capabilities. You’ll work on large-scale transformation projects across assessment, design, and optimization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to raise security posture. You shape governance strategy and practical operating models, delivering measurable risk reduction for enterprises. This is a client-facing opportunity to lead and accelerate Microsoft Purview implementations at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and recommend Purview capabilities (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance * Conduct technical health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy configuration) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security and compliance tools * Advise on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements to strengthen security posture Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, problem-solving, solution architecture, or solution design for Microsoft Purview or data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing/operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments, including integrations * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Willingness to travel up to 50% (average) Key requirements *
