Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you help clients design and implement Microsoft Purview to advance data governance, protection, and regulatory compliance. You’ll work on large-scale transformation projects-from assessment through deployment and optimization-collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture. You will lead governance-focused initiatives and provide guidance to improve operating models and risk management. This position offers impact at scale within Deloitte’s Cyber practice and client-facing environment. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and recommend Purview capabilities (Data Loss Prevention, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance across enterprise environments * Perform health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments including audit, privileged access, and policy reviews * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security/compliance technologies * Advise on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements to strengthen security and reduce risk Tasks * 4+ years of experience in technical consulting, solution architecture/design for Microsoft Purview or data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments with integrations * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, IT, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% Key requirements *
