Cyber Data Protection/PKI Manager

Experteer Overview As a Manager in the Cyber Strategy & Transformation team, you help clients secure data and optimize encryption strategies in cloud, on-premise, and hybrid settings. You act as a trusted advisor on data protection, PKI, and governance, shaping target architectures and roadmaps. You’ll design and operate solutions that reduce data risk, manage certificates, and monitor cryptographic controls. You collaborate with delivery teams and leadership to ensure timely, on-budget outcomes while staying ahead of evolving encryption trends. This role offers the chance to influence large-scale cyber programs and work across diverse industries with Deloitte’s support and resources. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as SME and trusted advisor on data protection and encryption requirements * Advise on encryption/decryption, secure key management, and PKI strategies across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments * Design, implement, and operate data protection solutions including certificate lifecycle management and infrastructure monitoring * Drive day-to-day engagement execution, communicating with clients and Deloitte leadership and tracking timelines * Stay current on emerging encryption technologies and industry trends, evaluating tools to strengthen data security * Lead technical workstreams, architects, engineers, and offshore/onshore teams * Translate business, operational, and security requirements into architecture blueprints and implementation plans * Support governance, risk management, and quality assurance for enterprise security transformations * Travel 25-50% as needed to serve clients Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field * 7+ years of professional experience in data protection and information security (including Data Discovery, Data Classification, DLP, Cloud Security, Encryption) * 7+ years with PKI concepts and enterprise trust models * 5+ years leading CLM strategy, design, and implementation (Apps like AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert) * Advanced knowledge of cryptography, certificate lifecycle, key management, HSM integration, crypto policy enforcement * Ability to define target-state architectures and operating models for large-scale environments * Hands-on understanding of certificate automation across load balancers, WAFs, API gateways, Kubernetes, cloud, and servers * Experience leading discovery, remediation, renewal automation, and compliance monitoring programs * Strong client leadership, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and roadmap alignment * Ability to travel 25-50% * Strong mentoring capability for junior practitioners and leads * Comfort with executive reporting, issue escalation, and steering committee discussions Key requirements *
