Cyber Data Protection/PKI Manager

Experteer Overview In this role, you will lead strategic and practical data protection initiatives for clients, focusing on encryption, PKI, and data risk reduction. You will guide architecture, tooling, and processes across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, while coordinating cross-functional delivery to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes. You’ll stay ahead of encryption trends and advise on cryptographic solutions that strengthen client security posture. This position offers opportunities to shape large-scale cyber transformations and work with senior stakeholders in a dynamic consulting environment. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as SME and trusted advisor on data protection and encryption requirements * Advise on encryption, decryption, secure key management, and PKI strategies across environments * Design, implement, and operate data risk reduction solutions (certificate lifecycle management, infrastructure monitoring, deployment) * Drive day-to-day engagement execution, communicate with clients and Deloitte leadership, track timelines * Stay current on emerging encryption technologies and evaluate tools/solutions for data security * Lead technical workstreams and coordinate architects, engineers, and delivery teams * Mentor junior practitioners and provide clear guidance to others * Support business development, solutioning, estimation, staffing, and proposals Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a related field * 7+ years in data protection and information security (including Data Discovery, Classification, Rights Management, DLP, Cloud Security, Encryption, CLM, etc.) * 7+ years PKI concepts with deep expertise in PKI architecture and enterprise trust models * 5+ years leading CLM strategy, design, and implementation (AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert, or similar) * Advanced knowledge of cryptography, certificate lifecycles, key management, HSM integration, crypto policy enforcement * Ability to define target-state architecture, integration patterns, operating models for large-scale environments * Hands-on understanding of certificate automation across load balancers, WAFs, API gateways, Kubernetes, cloud, and servers * Experience leading discovery, inventory remediation, renewal automation, and compliance monitoring * Strong client leadership, executive stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and roadmap alignment * Ability to travel 25-50% * Strong mentoring capability and reporting to executives Key requirements *
