Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you drive Microsoft Purview-driven data governance and compliance initiatives for clients, shaping large-scale transformations. You will partner with cross-functional teams to assess environments, design and implement Purview solutions, and optimize ongoing operations. The work spans assessment, design, deployment, and post-implementation support to strengthen security posture and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate directly with clients to turn governance visions into practical, scalable capabilities, making an impact across enterprise data programs. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and propose Purview capabilities * Design and implement Purview solutions for classification, labeling, retention, and governance * Conduct health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments, including audit and policy reviews * Support proof-of-concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security tools * Advise on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, and operating model improvements to reduce risk * Lead projects or workstreams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting * Communicate effectively in written and verbal form and build professional relationships * Provide clear guidance to others and ensure high-quality deliverables * Collaborate with clients to drive large-scale transformation efforts across assessment, design, and optimization Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, client problem-solving, solution architecture, or design for Purview or data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls in Microsoft environments * Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Engineering, IT, or Business Administration * Ability to travel up to 50% on average * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
