Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In Deloitte’s Cyber team, you help clients design and implement Microsoft Purview to advance data governance, information protection, and regulatory compliance. You will work on large-scale transformation engagements-from assessment through design, deployment, and ongoing optimization-across diverse enterprise environments. You’ll collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture and reduce risk while shaping governance capabilities. This role offers meaningful impact by driving compliant, resilient data operations at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and craft recommendations for Purview capabilities (Data Loss Prevention, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance * Perform technical health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy reviews) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security/ compliance technologies * Advise clients on governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements to strengthen security posture Tasks * 4+ years in technical consulting, client problem-solving, solution architecture or design for Microsoft Purview or related data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, IT, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
