Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview As part of Deloitte’s Cyber team, you help clients design and implement Microsoft Purview capabilities to strengthen data governance, information protection, and regulatory compliance. You will work directly with clients on large-scale transformation across assessment, design, implementation, and optimization. The role combines hands-on deployment with advisory work to improve security posture and reduce risk. This is a client-facing opportunity that leverages Microsoft Purview and related security technologies to deliver measurable governance outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and recommend Purview capabilities (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions to support classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance * Perform health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy reviews) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and adjacent Microsoft security tech * Advise on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements to strengthen security posture Tasks * 4+ years of experience in technical consulting, solution architecture, or design for Microsoft Purview or related technologies * 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing or operating Microsoft Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
