Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you drive Microsoft Purview-based data governance and compliance solutions for clients, shaping governance strategy and enabling secure, compliant operations. You will work on large-scale transformation projects across assessment, design, and implementation, often engaging directly with clients. You’ll balance independent work with team collaboration to deliver high-quality, scalable Purview solutions that reduce risk and strengthen data resilience. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and develop Purview-based recommendations (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance in enterprise environments * Conduct technical health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy configuration reviews) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and adjacent Microsoft security/compliance tools * Advise clients on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating-model improvements to strengthen security posture Tasks * 4+ years of experience in technical consulting, solution architecture, or design for Microsoft Purview or related data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, compliance reporting) * 4+ years experience designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments (including integrations) * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, IT, or business administration Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * travel up to 50% on average * reasonable accommodations available * opportunity to work with cross-functional teams * professional development and mentorship * diverse and inclusive culture
