Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role, you will lead and shape data governance and compliance initiatives using Microsoft Purview to help clients strengthen data protection and regulatory alignment. You will work with cross-functional teams on large-scale transformation-from assessment to implementation and ongoing optimization-driving secure, compliant data ecosystems. You will engage directly with clients to design solutions, perform health checks, and guide governance strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical delivery with advisory impact in a fast-paced environment. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and develop recommendations for Microsoft Purview capabilities (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Microsoft Purview solutions to support data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance across enterprise environments * Perform technical health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy configuration reviews) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and related Microsoft security/compliance technologies * Advise clients on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements to strengthen security posture and reduce risk Tasks * 4+ years of experience in technical consulting, client problem-solving, solution architecture, or solution design for Microsoft Purview or related data governance technologies * 4+ years hands-on experience implementing or operating Microsoft Purview capabilities (data classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, or compliance reporting) * 4+ years experience designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls across Microsoft environments, including integrations * Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, information technology, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * reasonable accommodations * travel flexibility (up to 50% travel) * professional development opportunities
