Microsoft Purview and Data Governance Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview As a Senior Engineering Management Specialist in Deloitte’s Cyber team, you help clients strengthen data governance and regulatory compliance using Microsoft Purview. You will work on large-scale transformations, from assessment to implementation and ongoing optimization, delivering defensible data governance and information protection solutions. You’ll collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and operationalize Purview capabilities. This role offers meaningful impact by shaping data governance programs and security posture across enterprise environments. Compensation / Benefits * Assess client data governance and compliance environments and develop Purview-based recommendations (DLP, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection) * Design and implement Purview solutions for data classification, labeling, retention, investigation, and governance across enterprise environments * Perform health checks, discovery, and remediation for Purview deployments (audit, privileged access, policy configuration reviews) * Support proof of concept, deployment, integration, and post-implementation activities for Purview and adjacent Microsoft security/compliance technologies * Advise clients on data governance strategy, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and operating model improvements to strengthen security posture and reduce risk Tasks * 4+ years of experience in technical consulting, solution architecture, or design for Microsoft Purview or data governance technologies * 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing or operating Microsoft Purview capabilities (classification, labeling, protection, eDiscovery, DLP, or compliance reporting) * 4+ years of experience designing and implementing data governance or compliance controls in Microsoft environments (including integrations) * Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, IT, or business administration * Ability to travel up to 50% * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
