Job description
Experteer Overview As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at kW Mission Critical Engineering, you design high-performance HVAC and cooling systems for mission critical facilities. You work within multi-discipline teams to develop drawings, specifications, and coordinate with clients and vendors. You mentor junior engineers and ensure design integrity through CFD evaluations and rigorous review. This role blends technical leadership with client engagement in a fast-paced, globally active practice. Compensation / Benefits * Independently support design and construction stages * Design air distribution, hydronic and automated temperature controls systems * Integrate mechanical requirements into facility designs * Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to produce drawings and specs * Attend client meetings and communicate concepts * Mentor and train junior engineers * Coordinate across HVAC, Energy, Controls, Fire Protection, Plumbing * Perform CFD evaluations for existing and new facilities * Select major equipment and develop project specifications * Survey existing conditions and perform construction administration * Uphold safety policies and ethical conduct * Travel to client sites as needed * Manage and track all mechanical disciplines across projects Tasks * 5+ years designing mechanical systems for high-performing, commercial, industrial or mission-critical/data center buildings * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical emphasis * Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace and Pipeflow * Knowledge of building, mechanical and energy codes * Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills * Willingness to travel to client sites and meet project needs * Ability to work within project schedules and adhere to safety policies * EIT or PE (preferred) * Experience with CFD modeling and energy analysis (preferred) * Experience with data center or mission-critical projects (preferred) Key requirements * medical, dental, vision * disability, life * retirement savings * health and safety focus * professional development opportunities * flexible workplace model
