Experteer Overview In this role, you will develop embedded software for airborne systems within Leidos’ Defense Group in Huntsville. You’ll shape software architectures, implement code, and support full software life-cycle across distributed subsystems, with a strong emphasis on DevOps and CI/CD. You will interact with customers and stakeholders to ensure mission-critical solutions meet high quality standards. This is a hands-on position at the intersection of software engineering and defense applications, offering impact across tactical, sensor, and UAS domains. Compensation / Benefits * Conceptual and architectural design across the full software stack for airborne systems * Embedded software development and code implementation * Team peer reviews, unit testing, and integration of modular subsystems * DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline development * Development of software tools, harnesses, and infrastructure to support integrated solutions * Direct communication with customers, end users, and stakeholders on a frequent basis Tasks * Bachelor in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent (GPA 3.0+) * 4+ years of relevant experience or 2+ years with MS degree * Proficiency in C, C++, Java, or Python * Knowledge of inter-process communication, multithreading, and memory management * Experience writing unit and integration tests * Familiarity with software development, configuration management, and software quality engineering concepts * Strong analytical and quality-focused mindset * Excellent teamwork and communication skills * Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Key requirements *
