Job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking an HR Reporting and Data Analytics Consultant in Houston, TX., We are seeking a Senior HR Reporting and Data Analytics Consultant to support a large-scale HR reporting modernization initiative. This individual will partner with HR and IT teams to evaluate, redesign, and modernize enterprise reporting solutions during the migration from a legacy HR platform to a new HCM environment.

This is not a traditional report developer role. The ideal candidate will assess reporting requirements, determine the best reporting platform, and help design scalable reporting solutions that support HR, payroll, workforce analytics, and executive reporting needs.

The environment includes Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Fabric data assets, and legacy reporting systems that are being retired and modernized.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements
  • Evaluate existing reports and recommend future-state reporting solutions
  • Determine when reporting should be delivered through HR systems, Power BI, or enterprise data platforms
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions
  • Create data models, DAX calculations, KPIs, and reporting logic
  • Analyze and transform data from multiple sources
  • Support migration of legacy reporting processes to modern reporting platforms
  • Build automated reporting and distribution processes
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities
  • Document reporting requirements, calculations, business rules, and reporting processes
  • Present findings and recommendations to business leaders and stakeholders

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis
  • Strong Power BI development experience
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience gathering business requirements and working directly with stakeholders
  • Data transformation and reporting architecture experience
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience creating dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills

Preferred Skills:

  • HRIS, HR Reporting, Workforce Analytics, Payroll Reporting, or People Analytics experience
  • ADP, UKG, Workday, SuccessFactors, or similar HR system experience
  • Microsoft Fabric experience
  • Power Query and DAX expertise
  • Experience modernizing legacy reporting platforms
  • Experience with report automation and distribution
  • Access database modernization experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
